Find the price of your custom-tailored pair of jeans in three easy steps. This is where the ordering process begins.
Step 1
Using a Taylor's measuring tape, measure the circumference of your waist. To learn about measurements go to Size.
Step 2
If you measure your Waist in inches, round down or up to the next 1/4". For example, let us say that your Waist measures 30 6/8".
You can round down to 30 1/4" (1/4" = 4/8"), so you basically subtract 2/8" (6/8" - 2/8" = 4/8"). Next, you need to convert the 1/4" fraction to decimal, 1/4" fraction = 0.25" decimal. Then, using the Length Converter below after Step 3, type 30.25, which is 30 1/4" converted from fraction to decimal.
To round up to the next 1/4", simply add the eights of an inch needed, instead of subtracting. Then, convert the fraction to decimal.
Converting Fractions to Decimals: One inch has 16 eights. So, to convert a fraction of an inch to decimal, simply divide the numerator, say 6, by the denominator 16. The denominator is always 16.
Following the example above where your Waist measures 30 6/8", to convert the fraction 6/8" to decimal, divide 6 (the numerator) by 16 (the denominator). Like so, 6 / 16 = 0.38. So, if your Waist measures 30 6/8", the decimal equivalent is 30.38.
Please consider the rounding, even though few millimeters may not matter. This is IMPORTANT! Use Figure 1 below as a guide.
Step 3
In the Table below, search column "Waist Size" for your waist size. Once found, move right to column "Total" or column "Grand Total" to see its value. See footnotes for details about columns "Total" and "Grand Total".
